A South African couple who lost their digital camera when it slipped overboard from a cruise ship have been traced after a Spanish fisherman hauled the device from the Atlantic sea floor a year and a half later.
Benito Estevez, of Spain, found the camera in his nets with five of the photos still intact on the memory card and uploaded the images to the web.
Barbara and Dennis Gregory, were en-route from New York to Southampton on the Queen Mary 2 in 2008 when they lost their camera in the ocean.
Various online reports state the camera was a Nikon P90. The memory card brand has not been released. Sounds like a good advertising / marketing opportunity.
